Wine Sales Information
Wine grape growers who wish to sell their wines at a Certified Farmers' Market (CFM) must obtain a Permit 79 from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). The ABC will require expressed permission from the Certified Farmers' Market operator prior to the issuance of the Permit 79.
Each permit is market site specific, so the wine grape grower will need a permit for each CFM site at which they wish to sell. They must also have a Certified Producers Certificate listing the variety of grape used in the wine they are selling.
They can only sell those wines that entirely use the grapes they grow themselves.
There is no tasting or sampling allowed at the CFM under the privileges granted by the Permit 79.
For further information see Wine Sales Laws in the Applicable Legislation page.
